Quiet Family Fun in North Florida

If you haven’t heard of the small beach town of Amelia Island, now you have! This quaint destination is filled with relaxing activities for the whole family. Do you have that history buff in your group? Check out Fort Clinch State Park and see the history of why this area was so important during the Civil War. Walk the fort walls and see the cannons facing out towards the ocean. Don’t forget to walk along the beach and look for shark teeth! The local town is perfect to grab a bite to eat and do some shopping. Book a dolphin tour and check out the local marine life in this Northern Florida oasis. The best place to stay is obviously the Ritz Carlton Amelia Island where the little ones can even have a pirate tuck them in!

Craziness of Central Florida

Yes, you got it! Here is where you will find the thrill of Orlando and their many amusement parks. From Disney to Universal to Sea World, you’ll need days of energy to navigate your way through all of the fun and excitement. If you are more of a Disney family, our suggestion is to check out Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World. This beautiful property is located southeast of Magic Kingdom® Park. Grab a drink in the evening at their rooftop bar and watch the magical fireworks show.

If Universal is more your speed, check out Loews Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Orlando. There is a secret bonus here as well! Each person in your room receives a complimentary Express Pass to skip the lines for each night you stay here. Now, you do have to buy your park tickets but this will save you and your family about $80 per person per day. When purchasing tickets, remember to get the Park-to-Park option so you can Access the HogwartsTM Express and ride between both lands of The Wizarding World of Harry PotterTM. Universal also opened up a new water park that is really worth your time. the only issue we had was getting tired from climbing the stairs of the waterslides so quickly with the way they have the lines set up. You’ll just have to experience it to believe it!
